Will Brownsberger

State Senator

Will Brownsberger has grown up through every level of state and local politics, from Belmont Selectman, to State Representative, to State Senator.

In the state legislature, he has been a thoughtful and effective advocate for clean energy, innovation in education, marriage equality, government transparency, and fiscal responsibility. Will does what he thinks is right regardless of political cost, and has chosen to personally combat the influence of money in politics by refusing to accept donations from PACs or lobbyists.

Katherine Clark

State Senator

Katherine has served in public office since 2008, and now as State senator represents Malden, Melrose, Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield and Winchester.

An advocate for progressive values, Katherine is tired of extremist Republicans attacking a woman’s right to make her own healthcare decisions, instead of focusing on the issues that really matter. She will stand up for equal pay for equal work, good jobs, excellent schools for our kids, gun safety, and keeping our promises to our seniors and veterans.

Peter Koutoujian

County Sheriff

Peter J. Koutoujian has served as Middlesex Sheriff since 2011, after fourteen years on Beacon Hill representing the 10th Middlesex District.

Utilizing his experience in the law and public sector, Peter instituted progressive new policies like mandating a campaign political finance education classes for all employees. In 2011, his community service work and devotion to heritage earned him the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor. He is ready to bring progressive values, and a lot of hard work, to Washington.

Carl Sciortino

State Representative

Carl Sciortino has served as a state representative since 2005. In 2004 he defeated an anti same sex marriage incumbent and is now one of the few LGBT members of the legislature.

An active member of the House Progressive Caucus, he has fought for socio-economic justice on a large number of issues, from raising the minimum wage to advocating for strong public schools. Carl will continue to fight for progressive policies that address the needs of Massachusetts working families.

Karen Spilka

State Senator

Karen Spilka is from MetroWest and serves in leadership as majority whip of the state Senate.

A labor lawyer and conflict mediator, she took on the big insurance companies to stop unfair practices and has been a leading advocate for disadvantaged youth and the disabled. Karen has spent the last 12 years on Beacon Hill taking on the challenges no one else would and she is ready to do the same in Congress.
